World Fiddle Day

Join us in Scartaglin, the heart of Sliabh Luachra, as we honour the musical heritage of our region with a day and night of music featuring an international line-up of musicians.

Irish Traditional Music Festival celebrating the fiddle style and music of Sliabh Luachra is held annually in Scartaglin Co Kerry on World Fiddle Day in Mid May each year .

World fiddle day in Scartaglin and Castleisland is a celebration of the Fiddle and Traditional Music of the area surrounding Scartaglin, Cordal, Castleisland and those who enriched it by visiting and playing.

There is a celebration of World Fiddle Day which is held on the nearest Saturday to May 19th each year. World Fiddle Day will be celebrated in Scartaglin with musicians gathering in the village the night before for sessions.

Handed down is a series of lectures/talks with guest presenters and invited muscians. Handed Down is a fund raiser for World Fiddle Day Scartaglin and is helped in this by Kerry Co Arts and Sliabh Luachra Trail funding the cost of hiring the venue.
