Woodlands Park Camping And Caravan Site

Situated just south of Tralee town in a quiet parkland setting Woodlands Park combines the tranquil country setting with the convenience of Tralee just a short walk away.

Surrounded by mature trees this carefully landscaped park, with its woodland nature trail ideal for dog walking and purpose built facilities block, guarantees a relaxing holiday in the heart of Kerry.

Tralee is the gateway to the Dingle Peninsula and is an ideal base to tour the entire southwest or take the car ferry to West Clare.

Is this the Best Site in Ireland? In my opinion yes!

Reviewed 1 September 2014

Prior to my decision to stay at Woodlands, which I had to decide on for suitable sites for our 5 week stay touring Ireland ending at Tralee. I looked at Trip Adviser and was suitably impressed by the positive comments on this site. I was however surprised by the 5 poor reviews received so I decided to read them. It was these negative reviews that convinced me to stay at Woodlands. Any site that avidly ensures the silence and sanctity of a family site can only be praised considering some of the sites we have stayed at both in UK and Ireland. Keep up the good work Mike!! I for one would not criticise your actions against possible rowdy and noisy groups whatever their age.
We have just returned to UK after a 2 week stay at Woodlands and it was fantastic . despite being packed for The Rose of Tralee.

A 1st class hidden gem in the "Kingdom of Kerry". A fantastic campsite, immaculate grounds and facilities. Superb cleanliness all round. Very close proximity to Tralee town centre. Loads to do whatever the weather. Most importantly, amazing hospitality on arrival and throughout our stay from Mike, Jane & Martina.

The park is beautiful, very well run and very clean and tidy at all times, there are pool tables, air hockey, a small shop. The aqua dome is within walking distance of the park and there is also a discount for the aqua dome if you buy your ticket on site which is great. Tralee town is but a stone’s throw from the site. The amenities were spotless clean and each site had its own electric and water supply with plenty of room around each pitch. There was a great atmosphere on this site and was really close to the town although peaceful and quiet at the same time.
The camper’s kitchen has free use of a fridge, a huge freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle with plenty of sinks for washing up. Right outside the kitchen is a covered area with picnic tables and BBQ pits - perfect if the weather is rainy. There is also an herb garden available to guests also.

There are wheelchair accessible pitches, showers, ramps everywhere and indeed we saw many people availing of these facilities during our trip.
Security is evident, the site is very safe. And as for noisy guests late at night - Mike's your man; he won't tolerate it, which makes this site very family-friendly.
This is a fantastic custom built campsite not a farmyard turned into a campsite!! It’s run by a lovely family Mike Martina and Jane
This is one of the (if not the) best campsite we have stayed at. Very peaceful and a safe location.
