There is a full programme of indoor and outdoor activities are planned at various locations with - Easter Egg Hunts, Duck Races, Puppet Shows and a Family Night at Tralee Dog Track.
As well as the above you will find arts and Craft Workshops, Teddy Bears & Dollies Picnics, Bonnie Baby Competition, Animal Farms and Bug Hunts! Many events are FREE and nearly all will have a nominal fee with proceeds going to various charities.
It is said that once upon a time in the Kingdom of Kerry, children’s dreams came true and families lived happily ever after because they visited the Tir Na Nog Children’s Festival in Tralee!
You parents are always looking for somewhere to bring their children during the Easter Holidays, but now the problem is solved, they need not look beyond Tralee.

Key event locations include Tralee Town Park, Tralee Bay Wetlands, Kerry County Museum, The Playdium, Crag Caves, Bowling Buddies, Aqua Dome, Kingdom Greyhound Stadium, Siamsa Tíre Theatre, Tralee Regional Sports and Leisure Centre and Caball Toymaster.
Two key events during the Tír an nÓg Children’s Festival will require pre-registration – Kids Fancy Dress Fun Run on Easter Saturday and a Fun event at The Playdium on Good Friday.
Children under 12 are invited dust off their costumes and register for the Easter Fancy Dress Fun Run in Tralee Town Park on Easter Saturday.
The event begins from 12pm with a Zumba Warm-up with Linda Flanagan from Zumba Kerry before the run gets underway at 1pm.
Prizes will be awarded to the best costumes while all the children will have a chance to get their faces painted and meet some colourful Disney characters and enjoy a post-run disco.
Another great event with lots of prizes will take place at The Playdium, Mile Height, Tralee on Good Friday, taking place from 11am to 1pm.There will be face-painting, a duck hunt and a raffle.
