That most momentous of days in the Star Wars lovers’ calendar, the May the 4th Be With You Festival makes its much-anticipated return to the Wild Atlantic Way!
With two of Star Wars’ most recent instalments having been filmed along the Wild Atlantic Way, where better to celebrate the Star Wars legacy than at this out-of-this-world festival? It’s time to hop in your X-Wing and head for the coast.
Fun events for all-ages are taking place from across lively villages in County Kerry and County Donegal. Visit the home base for the cast and crew while they shot on the extraordinary Skelligs in ‘Porgmagee’ (that’s Portmagee to the uninitiated!); or take a spin in your Millennium Falcon up the coast to atmospheric Malin Head – the most northerly tip of Ireland.
This three-day celebration on the west coast of Ireland will have something for every member of the Rebel Alliance. Prepare to get intergalactic along this cosmic coastline; gaze deep into the night at galaxies far, far away; enjoy exclusive screenings of Star Wars:
The Last Jedi against the backdrop of actual film locations; catch behind-the-scenes exhibitions; visit beehive huts; enjoy tours, tastings and even train in the ways of the Jedi. There's fun to be had from one end of the universe to the other.
