The tractors were cleaned and ready for action on Sunday, and they stream in from across the county looking their very best for the Jackie Healy Rae memorial tractor run.
Hosted by the Roughty Valley Vintage Club, last year was very successful event and such was its success that its future is copper-fastened.
Almost 70 tractors from Kilgarvan and further afield take part in the run which leves from Kilgarvan and heads for Slaheny, Ardtully Castle and Mangerton. A few vintage cars also join the procession.
Refreshments are served at Ardtully Castle including tea, coffee and hot dogs and everyone can pose for photos at the historic sight before continuing on their journey.
The sunny weather helps ensure success on the day and organisers have been delighted with the turn-out in the past which includs tractors from north and south Kerry, and even into Cork.
All the funds raised, will be donated to Kilgarvan Community Council.
